Yuck_90s public access vibes Like many other young people, Anna has got a music band with her friends. Listen to her talking about her group and then create a music band with information from the internet. You will learn a lot of vocabulary about music. Finally, you may write a composition about any activities you share with your friends.

1. Anna's music band

Listen to this conversation carefully and answer the test questions. But first, read the instructions by pressing the Instrucciones button. You'd better read the whole conversation a couple of times before answering the questions. Feel free to stop the recording after each question and rewind when necessary. So, open your ears!

(On the next page is the audio transcription, but don't look at it until you have finished the test.)

2. How to form a music band

A New FriendI bet you'd like to form your own music band with your friends. Why not? That could be a great experience, and your band might even become famous, who knows? You can find information about it at wikihow.com, a wiki where a lot of people like you write about how to do anything. Have a look at these two articles to begin with. You don't have to read the whole texts, but pay attention to the words in bold, which will guide you through the process.

Now do the following activities:

  1. Create vocabulary lists with words related to music which can be useful for your task. Then share them with your mates. You can share your documents by using web services such as Google Drive.
  2. Form a group with some of your mates and follow the steps given in the articles to make your own summary in English in order to create your band. Anna's conversation above might be useful to help you start.
  3. In groups, tell your classmates how you are going to organize and create your band. They might give you some advice.

(If you are really interested in this subject, you may also want to read 10 Mistakes Bands and Musicians Make.)

3. Tell us about your hobbies or activities

Now you can write about a hobby or activity that you practise with your friends regularly. Use the Present Simple Tense together with adverbs and expressions of frequency, which you can revise in this presentation:

You can write about your activities by:

  • Writing a comment in this post.
  • Writing a text in this editor and then sending it to your teacher or printing it.

We usually read magazines about pets.

We have a good time when we go to buy.

We go to the cinema in the weekend.

We normally eat "kinder bueno".

We go to school every day except when it's saturday and sunday.
