Applets for Teachers

Here are some Java Applets that teachers might find useful. All were tested on Internet Explorer 5.0
Written on Apple Macintosh, I hope that they will run on Windows(tested on XP), Linux, Solaris and, of course, Macintosh.
Please report any bugs, complaints or suggestions to robertsomerville@yahoo.co.uk

RobsLearningFun - Most of the Matching Pairs programs are written in C for Windows PCs on my RobsLearningFun site.

You will also find Number Target, a series of animated games giving practice in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division - click on the moving ball containing the correct answer to make it explode.
Show me a picture of Number Target running Close the picture window to dismiss it!

My latest addition is Number Invaders - arithmetic where the question is asked - the answers are the space invaders but only the correct one may be shot down. Show me a picture of Number Invaders running Close the picture window to dismiss it!

All of the programs in RobsLearningFun are free to use and will not demand registration after a time. They are not quite complete but, as they are, they are free to use for ever.

To make them complete, so that you might use all of the multiplication tables, for example, would cost only $30 to register the entire suite (13 programs at the moment).

Of course, if you do not want to pay, then you are welcome to use all the programs free of charge for as long as you wish.

Click below to download appletsforteachers (only 411KB). It can then be expanded using Stuffit Expander (good but is about 4MB long) or your own favourite unzip program. Then use your browser to open index.html. This should let you run appletsforteachers on computers which are not online.
