Past, Present and Future
This webquest is intended to help students to revise their knowledge of English verb tenses, but also to make them aware of the historical process. If we are to know who we are, we must know at least our recent past, get in touch with present concerns and foresee the future. It is a question of survival. The past is full of interesting events which reveal the essences of humankind. The present is a tangle of events, interests, ideas and worries that we should untwist to see what is really happening. Los conectores o linking words son esenciales para construir oraciones complejas. Mediante esta actividad se pretende que los alumnos de 4º de E.S.O. y Bachillerato conozcan o repasen los significados de los conectores más frecuentes. La actividad consta de diversos ejercicios de repaso sobre la voz pasiva en inglés para estudiantes de segundo ciclo de Secundaria o Bachillerato. Resulta más atractiva contextualizada en torno a la figura de Tolkien y su obra maestra "El señor de los anillos" que los alumnos suelen conocer bastante bien. Las dificultades pueden surgir a la hora de recordar nombres de personajes o lugares; para resolver esto se ha añadido un enlace a la web oficial de la trilogía dirigida por Peter Jackson.

La forma más habitual de saber si alguien sabe es haciéndole preguntas. Quizá sea este el método más antiguo para evaluar los conocimientos de las personas. Además, las personas, cuando no sabemos algo, solemos preguntar a los demás. Por eso, las formas interrogativas son importantes a la hora de aprender un idioma. Aquí vamos a repasarlas con algunas actividades y con un vídeo muy gracioso que muestra hasta qué punto es cierto aquello que dijo el filósofo de que "Solo sé que no sé nada". Apliquémonos el cuento.
